Insert Nifty Banner Here Image There is an energetic warmth in the air. Though forests are sparse and shrubbery thick, the mountains are dominating, looming, and generally awe inspiring. The northern stretch of the Tabbagon mountains are generally avoided and a network of naturally formed caves tunnel throughout the massive mounds of Drey. The slew of connected caverns provide protection from the storms and a hideaway from prying eyes, leaving the occupants well hidden and tucked away from prying eyes, yet the hidden entrances, some natural and some specifically carved by blade, enable the moonborn Aershaa to strategically swarm much of their claimed territory. Several tunnels exit near where the river Siaas'ta flows swiftly, providing a constant source of fresh water and prey drawn by it's delectable scent. There is danger and death here, for Khan is hardly forgiving and only the strong and worthy will survive the trials and tribulations he demands of them. Lord Arrow, the treacherous bane of Khan, is long dead and his hold over the Moonborn has disappeared. His word was misleading, tainting the greatness of he who watches in the night, but no more! This is the home of the Eyes of Khan, who are setting right the ways of the Moonborn. No longer are wings hidden, shunned away over childish insecurities. Those who are worthy are welcome and those who are useful are revered. It isn't uncommon to see Sunborn here, those who can be of use are used for menial labor, those who are not are offered as blood sacrifices. All bear a mark, a slice beneath the eye, showing their loyalty and protecting them... From those who dole out his discipline. Beware the Pale One and the Burnt One, for it is they who control every aspect of life... Index - Introduction - Index - Customs - Laws - Ranks - Territory - Roleplay Log - Members - Joining - Reserved - Reserved - Reserved - Reserved - Reserved - Reserved Customs Members of the Eyes of Khan believe that Khan is the supreme god, who directly and indirectly created all upon the Drey. They acknowledge that S'feena did exist, but it was her treachery that tainted the Drey with the Sunborn and they, like she, should be eradicated. Known for killing in what might seen as an "indiscriminate" manner, there is a method to their madness. In fact, nothing is left to chance. Complete control and power is the goal behind the actions of Balefur and Serpen'teer, control over those who can bring a dramatic change to the Drey. Each action is promoted to appease Khan and bring honor to his name. They stress the point of honesty within the pack, and spread the word of Khan's love for loyal Moonborn, who shall earn a better life each rebirth, so long as they claim faith only in him and remain within the pack, devoting their lives and obedience completely to service in his name. The Sunborn who offer their allegiance to the pack and to Khan are offered the "grace" of being born a Moonborn within the pack in their next life, which is considered the highest reward a Sunborn could ever achieve. Both Balefur and Serpen'teer are adamant about expressing just how much Khan cares for and loves his loyal followers, blessing them for their hard work and devotion with the gift of safety, wonderful rebirths, and peaceful rest after their final lives. He cares for each and every Aershaa that pledges loyalty to the pack and to himself, loves them, and will watch over them. Those who do not, however, are at risk of death in the worst possible ways. Each member of the pack must wear a scar beneath the left eye, a crescent shape that marks them as a follower of Khan. It is this mark and the pack scent that protects them from those who perform Khan's bidding, those who destroy the ones who do not pledge their allegiance, those who do not wear the mark. The Death Troop. These skull clad creatures have an alliance with Eyes of Khan, though Balefur and Serpen'teer do not speak of this. They, instead, tell their followers that these are bloodthirsty servants of Khan, whom he has trusted the task of eviscerating those who do not pay him homage. Blood tributes are also offered to Khan, whenever he calls for them. Usually this takes place upon the change of seasons, a Sunborn or a disloyal Moonborn is killed upon Khan's Rock, a spot within the deepest cavern, where a natural, massive stone is used to offer gifts to the god. The blood is also smeared across the walls of the caverns, a mark per living space and pathway. Of course, this is also a wonderful method for getting rid of those that the Sev and Sav see as a threat to the pack, free thinkers and troublemakers. Sometimes Khan will "demand another sacrifice" before the season is over and Balefur uses his odd, white appearance to insist that he is a messenger of Khan, sent by him to the Drey. Of course, other offerings are left on Khan's Rock, as well. Food, pelts, bones, stolen trinkets, anything the pack can obtain in his honor. Laws The laws of the pack are in place to offer security to those within the pack and utmost loyalty and respect towards Khan. There are no petty laws here, only laws to benefit the pack as a whole. That being said, it is expected that they are followed to the exact word and those who break the codes are subject to harsh punishment. Follow them, if your character knows what is good for himself or herself. In Characater - You must obey the word of Khan, which is passed down to the pack from Balefur and Serpen'teer - Never take Khan's name in vain, as it is a direct assault against the great god, himself - Serve Khan to the fullest. Do not act without first deciding if the action will bring pride to him or shame him - You Must inform one of the Guardians or Betas if you are leaving the caverns at night or if you plan on leaving the territory. Caught doing so without notifying them or if caught lying about where it is you are going will get you restricted to the caves for a period of time. Remember, Khan loves you and wishes to keep you safe, for it is for your own good. (This can be fudged over in roleplay, just mention that your character has permission to leave in the first post, if you play outside of the territory <3) - Underpaws are not to leave the caves at night, nor are they to leave the territory without instruction to do so by a higher up, be it to search for food or supplies. - Do not harm your fellow packmates - Kill those who enter the territory and who are not Khan loyal - Respect Khan Loyals who enter the territory, but do not lead them to the dens - Try to educate all those you meet who are not of the pack - Wear your mark proudly and show respect to the Skulled Ones - Do not bless any who are not of the pack with the mark of Khan - Participate in all rituals, to show your support to Khan - Do not fear death, for if you have been loyal in life, Khan shall bless you Out of Character - You must roleplay! Yes, I know the characters in Aershaa are roleplay required, but I don't want you to join and never play with the pack! - The pack does not believe in bonding, so please don't try to bring your Aer's bonded in. All Sunborn and two-legged critters are considered enemies and will be treated as so - There is a risk that your character may die if in the pack, please understand that and don't protest if it happens! If you use your head and keep from breaking the laws, they should be fine. If you have a plot in mind that may be dangerous, please PM me and we'll work something out! If the pack goes to battle, which may be inevitable, there is a risk of injury or death. - Do not beg for a higher rank! If We think your character deserves it, they will be given it! C: Just continue to play and you may work your way up the rungs! You can make requests, but don't harass us! - All rules are subject to change, depending on of Mal and I see something we need to amend, or if we have a new idea C: - Have fun! Ranks Breaking away from Arrow's use of man words, Balefur and Serpen'teer have reinstated the use of old Aershaa terms. Sev/Sav - The leaders of the pack. The term "Lord" or "Lady" shall never be used under their rule. The Sev and Sav are the heads of the pack and, thus, make all the utmost important decisions and are responsible for their pack's safety and well being. Crossing the pair would be unwise. (Currently Full, Shall Stay This Way) Seer - Few and far between, the Seers are Aershaa with foresight. They are highly revered, on par with Beta, because they are considered as close as one can come to Khan, without actually being Sev or Sav. Seers work closely with the leaders. Beta - The term "captain" is no longer used, as they wish to get back in touch with the roots of the Aershaa and Khan, eradicating Man's ranking system from their own. The Betas are the Aershaa just under the Sev and Sav. They take their orders straight from the pair and follow no one else. It's best not to question them, but Balefur is willing to listen to whatever grievances packmates may have. The Betas are in charge of setting up hunts and patrols. Gamma - The typical members of the pack. They make up the main body and take positions depending on their skills. Scouts scout the pack's territory, as well as surrounding territories, and deliver messages to the pack's allies. Hunters hunt, bringing in prey for the pack to feast on. Guardians protect the pack and it's borders. Omegas - While they are considered lower on the totem pole, they are still Moonborn and are still vital to the pack. The Omegas consist of Healers, Pup-Sitters, and Storytellers. These three ranks are responsible for the health, rearing, and history of the pack. Underpaw - The Banebloods and Sunborn of the pack, the ones charged with minor tasks, such as cleaning the caverns, digging new tunnels, and generally any tasks others might need. Banes are considered slightly over Sunborn, because of Moon blood running within them. These are generally captures, spoils of fights and the like. (Accepting, though only on a case by case basis) Territory Located in the northern portion of the Tabbagon mountains, just near the river. The territory is fairly large and a network of caverns allows easy access for the mountain dwellers to reach certain points in their territory. The caves are deep and winding, the highest and deepest being a tribute to Khan, where gifts are often left. The meat often disappears and none are quite sure where it goes. Some assume that Khan is coming to take it, others assume the leaders are eating it, and others... Others aren't so sure, as no one follows the network of tunnels that lead deeper from that cave. Balefur and Serpen'teer share a denning place not too far from there, so they can each "keep watch" over Khan's Rock, making sure none who aren't permitted pass. The Guardians and Betas are positioned towards the front of the caves, while the rest of the Aer fall somewhere in-between. We are hard workers with a strong faith and it shall never be any less. You will have to prove to us your worthiness, stranger. A life is not easily given, nor is it easily taken. This shall be an arduous journey, but you shall be rewarded with your life and the opportunity to work more closely to Khan than any Aer who are not blessed to be with us. |
