![]() Name: Xatu Approximate Age:: Breed: Light Type: Normal Class: Wild Physical Description: Region: Listherea Personality: Xatu is a shy aershaa even around those she knows. She's always afraid she's going to be bothering someone and tends to spend her time alone or sitting in a corner. She gets visions about the future which adds even more to her timid nature. Back story: "M-mother? Are you busy right now?" A grass green aershaa called as she crawled out of the family den. "I'm over here darling." came a response from the moonling's left. A green and yellow female was with a group of Mozu helping them string some bells. Not an unusual sight since the adult had shifted her paws to be more like that of a draian. She looked up lovingly at her daughter. "Nice to see that you could join us this morning." The mozu chuckled. The young light chuckled weakly and slowly made her way over to the others. Her ears and tail were lowered, disturbed by the dream she had just had, but the body language was ignored. It wasn't that they didn't care but when one tends to be painfully shy by nature, submissive posture ended up being the norm. She stood nearby for a few moments before pawing at the grass. "M-mother I- um… Lis- Listhrea sent me another uh-" She hesitated, having been born with the ability to receive messages from the Goddess Listhrea the light always seemed to have trouble explaining the vivid dreams she sometimes had. Her mother was used to it however and she gave her daughter an encouraging nuzzle. "It's all right Xatu, you can tell us what you saw. You know we won't think any less of you for it." It was truth and they and the mozu all knew it. When the light and her mate found out that one of their pups had a gift from Listhrea herself, they had been overjoyed and they encouraged their little one whenever they had the chance. Of course they made sure to give just as much love to their other two pups as well. "It- I'm not sure what was going on exactly but… there was this aershaa and he was on a mountain and then all of a sudden the world was being ripped apart. There were these horrible storms and the ground was shaking and there were floods and- and-" Xatu's voice ended in a panicked whine, even trembling a bit at the thought of it all. Her mother nuzzled her again. "There there, it's all right. Whatever happens, the Goddess will protect us." "No! She won't! Father and my brothers they didn't-" Unable to tell her mother what else she saw Xatu ran. Though a gift her ability was also a burden, especially when bad things happened to those she knew. Could she really tell her mother or better yet her father and brothers that they would die? She flopped down into her favourite spot, a low divot in the ground where the grass grew extra high. Xatu loved the feel of the grass brushing against her fur, she found it oddly comforting. However, today it seemed to be the opposite. The grass felt like the paws of her family, her father and brothers grasping at her wondering why it had been them, why they had to be the ones to die. She wondered if she'd ever be able to live without all of her family. When the shadows of the floating islands reached Xatu she could smell the approach of her family before she could hear them. It was everyone, mother and father plus her two brothers. When they arrived her brothers flopped into the grass on her left, each one managing to butt up against her somehow while her father rested against her right side. He nuzzled her as his mate sat beside him. "My dearest daughter, if it is Listhrea's wish that we journey to our next life then we will do so gladly and without question. Mourning someone's loss is understandable but in the end one should celebrate the aershaa's life, as they get to be born into someone better." Xatu pondered her father's words. He always seemed to know what to say. He words brought a sense of ease to her mind along with the presence of him and her brothers. When the time came she would mourn their loss, but she felt that maybe she wouldn't be as devastated as she thought. Edited by trigirl48, Jan 27 2016, 08:12 PM.
